Leaving for Alaska Tomorrow!!

We had a busy day yesterday. Upon our return from Calgary, we managed to get into a full service site at Lions Campground in Leduc, so we have been busy. Laundry is all done. Vacuum, dust and polish inside, all done. Wash outside of motorhome and car with power sprayer, all done. We even had a bit of time for a little shopping and then a walk along the multi purpose path next to the campground. Chris has been very busy trying to get a car sorted out for her daughter, Sarah and boyfriend, Matt, before we leave tomorrow. Looks like that is coming together right now as well.

Jim and Jane rolled in yesterday afternoon. It was great to see the “mad scientist” and Jane again. You’ll have to ask Jim about the mad scientist reference. We had parted company at Lazydays in Tampa early last month but have kept in touch on the computer. We had a great visit in the afternoon and then got together for a nice supper as well. Chris cooked up some awesome walleye fillets. Of course, Alaska came up a lot and I think we have a good handle on our trip thus far, thanks to Mile Post magazine and blogs of RVing friends that are already in Alaska. We have decided to go as far as Grande Prairie on Saturday so that we can hit the Costco there before continuing on. We’ll overnight at the Walmart. After that, our next stop of interest will be Laird Hot Springs. We are all looking forward to a good soak in the hot springs.

We are having Matt and Sarah, Jim and Jane over for a big spaghetti supper tonight. Hope to be on the road by 9 am tomorrow morning.

The picture above is a panorama shot of the Tyrrell Museum taken from the elevated sightseeing booth across the road. I used Photoshop CS4 to stitch together 4 shots. You should be able to click on the image to see it in a larger format. I think it turned out quite well.

Thanks for the tip guys. We haven't had a problem since we began doing some serious back flushing and we only let the tank get half full. So far, so good…fingers crossed. All going well so far. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe!

    Hi from the Livelys
Have been reading about the "smell". We had the problem going downthe road. I now open the bathrm window before flushing and it does not smell. Might try that.
Hope you all have a safe and fun trip!
