Wawa, Ontario

We left North Bay just before 10 am this morning after having breakfast with Margaret and calling my mother in England, so we could all have a chat. It was a bit of a chore getting out of her driveway but we managed. We spent the day on the road trying to put in as many kilometers as we could. Sudbury passed by very quickly. We stopped at Walmart in Sault Ste Marie around 4 pm and were going to stay the night, but we both felt good and the weather was nice, with the exception of a thunder storm that rolled in as we skirted Lake Superior. This was my first time around the lake. The scenery is absolutely stunning. We decided to keep going to Wawa and pulled into an Esso on the south side which had a huge dirt parking lot in behind the pumps. Just us and a few trucks. Looking forward to a good night’s sleep.
