Farwell Canyon

My nephew led us on a tour of Farwell Canyon which was really fabulous to see despite the smoke hanging in the air due to forest fires around the town of Clinton. The canyon is about an hour drive out of Williams Lake on Hwy 20. We saw a few fully loaded logging trucks while in the canyon area, no doubt hauling their loads into the Williams Lake mill. We also stopped to watch some natives dip net fishing under a bridge in the canyon. The trip down to the river from the bridge was quite a way down and not for the faint of heart.

Then it was back to Williams Lake for a little snooze before enjoying a wonderful BBQed salmon supper at Matt and Rachel’s. They have three wonderful children who unfortunately were a little camera shy during our visit, but I thought this one was a keeper.
