Filey Wildlife

We’ve had great weather since arriving here in Filey.  Lots to do in town for the last week.  We discovered a wildlife preserve right in Filey that we never even knew existed.  There are several ponds and bird hides built to view all sorts of birds in the area.  We have seen coots, moor hens, snipes herons and muted swans in the past few days.
The best news we have received is that our internet satellite installation on our motorhome has been  completed.  It took a little doing but the last word we had from Jane was that it was almost done.  Many thanks for looking after things J and J.

We popped into Scarborough today which is about 8 miles north of Filey. Mom had to have an xray and we all did a bit of shopping before had.  I also picked up a UK pay-as-you-go Lebara SIM card for my mobile telephone.  Price was only £14 and that includes a £10 credit usable for voice, text or internet connectivity.  Top ups are easily done online or via phone.  The bad news is that when I went to install it my phone asked me for a password before proceeding.  It has never asked for a password before!  A trip to the library computers and a google search told me I had to do a hard reset to reboot the phone.  Of course, that erased all my data too!  But, at least my phone works now.  Will try the new SIM card this afternoon.
Tomorrow, Chris and I are off to Whitby for a little hiking and sightseeing.
