I called my brother on Vancouver Island on Friday to find out what he and his son Casey were up to. Not too much, so they hopped on a BC Ferry at Schwartz Bay and came out to Cultus Lake on Saturday morning to visit and spend the night. We had a great visit and Casey showed us how good he was on the Wii game. I think he took over top spot in quite a few events as well. He also won lots of candy for all of us in the outdoor games put on by Thousand Trail residents and staff on the Saturday of the holiday weekend. Everyone enjoyed Chris’s lasagna supper with caesar salad, garlic bread and mini cherry cheese cakes for dessert. We had another great meal this morning for breakfast. Bacon, scrambled eggs and pancakes. It was a great visit despite the wet weather.

I promised to add pictures of the MCD wheel covers once they were properly installed. All of them went on pretty easily and I think it gives our motorhome a nice finished look when parked. For those nonRVer types out there reading this blog, the purpose of the covers is to protect the wheels from UV exposure while we are parked in sunny climes. UV can lead to cracking in the side walls of the tires, so anything to protect against that is a good idea.

Supper was at Jim and Jane’s tonight followed by canasta. The boys lost their third in a row. Not good, but at least the girls are enjoying their moment in the sun (rain actually judging by the noise as the rain pounded on the roof of their motorhome). Wonder if the boys can turn it around?
