Family Time

We enjoyed a great visit with my two children, Lindsay & Casey, this weekend.  They popped up from Hamilton and Toronto for a few days over Tulip Festival.  Lindsay bunked in with us in Phaeton Place while Casey stayed with friends  in town, except for last night, when he too stayed with us.  It was amusing watching a brother & sister share limited bed space, but it all worked out.  We all enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Cora’s restaurant this morning.  Their panini egg & ham crepe with fresh fruit was very good as was the eggs benedictine.  I don’t think we have ever had a bad meal at Cora’s.

We did manage to drop in on the First Canadian Allegro Club chapter rally being held here at Camp Hither Hills this past weekend.  I think there were a total of fourteen coaches including us.  Ron & Helen, Rob & Lucie and Bruce & Rosetta did a super fantastic job of organizing things.  Most coaches arrived without toads, but that wasn’t a problem at all as there was prearranged, daily bus transportation to see the Ottawa Tulip Festival, Rideau Canal locks, Byward Market, Canadian War Museum, Parliament Hill and other sites in Ottawa.  Unfortunately, we were unable to attend many of the activities but from all reports at Sunday’s business meeting, everyone had a great time and a huge congratulations go out to all the organizers.  We joined this chapter and are looking forward to the fall rally in Huntsville.
