Hartland & Woodstock, New Brunswick

We spent a wonderful day sightseeing in both Hartland and Woodstock.  Our day started with a drive out to Hartland to see the world’s longest covered bridge, all 1282 ft of it spanning the St John river.  It was quite a sight to behold.  The bridge is completely functional with a maximum height clearance of 13′ 10″ and maximum weight of 10 tonnes.
Our afternoon was spent on a self guided walking tour around Woodstock to view the many Victorian era buildings and homes in this town.  The town provide us with a great map brochure that made finding our way around very easy.  Here are some of the buildings and homes we saw.
We are leaving early tomorrow morning in order to catch our noon ferry to Digby from St John.  Please click on any of the photos to see a bigger version on my Smugmug page.

Thanks for the tour and great pictures of those beautiful old homes. I liked that covered bridge too! We've always wanted to tour the Maritimes – maybe some day!
