Packing Up and On the Road

It’s been wet & miserable here for the last four or five days.  Lots of rain making this past month one of the wettest Septembers on record.  Camp Hither Hills has been our home since July but we see many of our nieghbours now packing up and heading out.  Our friends Dennis & Sandy left this afternoon.  Today, it finally started drying out which gave me a chance to start putting things away outside while Chris looked after giving the inside a once over with the Dirt Devil and Swiffer. Phaeton Place is now all packed and ready to hit the road tomorrow morning.
 Fall Arrives
We had our last visit to the dentist yesterday and have one stop to make downtown at the passport office tomorrow morning before we head  for Tandet Kenworth in Kingston.  Phaeton Place is scheduled for a service appointment on Friday.  Tandet Kenworth is the only authorized Spartan Chassis Service Centre in eastern Ontario.  We will spend tomorrow night in their yard waiting for our service the next morning.  We then have a warranty appointment with Armand of Techmcw in Kawartha Lakes on Saturday afternoon to replace the coax cable on our cell phone amplifier.  We are hopeful that we’ll be on the road from there to Sherkston Shores RV Resort in Niagara Falls by mid afternoon which should get us there before dark.  Don’t want to be driving Hwy 401 through Toronto in the dark.
We did manage to get out for a nice walk along the Ottawa river late last week.  The leaves are really starting to change now.  We saw this maple leaf laying on the path and I grabbed a shot with my iPhone.
