Time Is Winding Down

Chris and I often said over the summer that our time in Ottawa was just crawling by.  After traveling to Alaska last year with Jim & Jane and then spending last winter out west in California and Arizona, it seemed very strange to be sitting still for so long.  Other than our one month trip to Nova Scotia in June, Phaeton Place has pretty much sat in Ottawa for the summer.  Well since September has rolled in, we take it all back.  September is just flying by now!  We’ve got two weeks left to finish all our running around before we head to Sherkston Shores near Niagara Falls for a couple of weeks in October.  Things to do: dentist, doctor, bank, passports, Saturn service and a service for Phaeton Place in Kingston at the end of the month.
Colourful Marsh
The weather in Ottawa has been very temperamental these past few weeks meaning skies have been very cloudy which can make for some wonderful photography.  I grabbed this shot at Mer Bleu in east Ottawa this morning as storms threatened.  All I did was desaturate the color from the pond in foreground with Photoshop CS5 and then cropped the photo slightly. I like the color and black & white effect all in one photograph.   Hope you like it too.
