Departure Day!!!

Well Departure Day has finally arrived here in Red Bay.  We were shooting for a Friday morning departure but a last minute wrinkle late Thursday afternoon forced us to stay an extra day.  It wasn’t anything serious, just some missed buffing and caulking on the passenger side of Phaeton Place.  We were back in the body shop at 7:30 am this morning and everything was done by early afternoon.  We hit the check out desk and were very happy to learn that all our repairs were covered under warranty, so no cost to us at all!  Bonus!!  The only cost incurred at Camp Red Bay was a daily $10 camping fee which we gladly paid.
So Phaeton Place is all buffed up with a brand new roof and ready to roll on down Natchez Trace Parkway from Tupelo to Jackson, MS tomorrow morning and then we’ll turn west on I-20, hoping to get well into Louisiana by tomorrow night.
We’ve met many great people while here in Red Bay.  The staff have been wonderful and while repairs took some time to complete, we are confident they were completed properly, which is the most important thing to us.  To anyone looking for a great technician to do their repairs here in Red Bay…..Terry Parrish in Bay 2 is superb!!!!  Our new friends Gerry & Jessie left for Apache Junction, AZ this morning.  Jag & Bev are here with us and should be done shortly as well.
Palm Springs here we come….with a few pit stops along the way, including a 3 day stopover at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge near San Antonio, New Mexico.

Glad you're on your way finally. Isn't it super that Tiffin continues to cover repairs under warranty, even though the first year is over? We'll be going back to Red Bay after Thanksgiving because of a water intake problem we haven't been able to solve. More on that in my blog later.

    Travel safely and enjoy!

A lot of our friends are in the CA Desert this winter. If you don't play pickle ball already, check it out :) We won't be going South this winter (from Oregon) so will look forward to reading your blogs which are always really great!
