Living Desert

Another great day in Palm Springs.  A little overcast but still quite mild.  I played pickleball this morning while Chris took Matt & Sarah shopping again.  Then it was off to Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries for lunch before spending the afternoon at Living Desert.  Five Guys received an enthusiastic thumbs up from both Matt & Sarah. I printed off some $3.00 discount coupons for Living Desert so we managed to save $12.00 off the regular admission prices for the four of us.  We thought about staying for the evening Christmas lights show they were putting on starting at 6 pm but we would have had to leave the park for an hour and then re-enter the park and pay another $8.00 each to see the lights so we passed on that. For readers interested in going to Living Desert, adult admission prices are $14.25 without a discount.  There is lots of walking but for an extra $6.00 per person, one can ride their shuttle train.  I said it last year after we visited Living Desert and I’m afraid I have to say it again here.  Paying extra for a shuttle train is unacceptable after paying almost $15 each for admission. The cost of the shuttle train really should  be included as part of the basic admission, as should admittance into the hummingbird aviary.   Enough said!   Lots of  flora & fauna to see at Living Desert.  Here is a small sample of what we saw this afternoon.
Desert Cactus

Miniature Train Village

Big Horn Sheep

Zebras

Sassy Camel

Giraffe
