Revisiting Alaska

Alaska Corvette
Yet another day of showers in Menifee and it looks like we’ll be seeing more rain right through until the middle of next week.  We took a run over to the outlet mall at Lake Elsinore this morning.  We went there last year but couldn’t remember much about it.  Once we got there today, we understood why neither of us had much recollection of the outlet mall.  Pretty disappointing.  Of course the weather may have had something to do with it, but there was hardly anybody there.  We drove into Temecula after that and stopped at Barnes & Noble and also an In & Out burger place for lunch.  We were looking for a Five Guys but nothing came up on Google or on our Garmin GPS.  After lunch we drove right past a Five Guys on Winchester Rd, less than half a mile from Barnes & Noble.  Go figure!!
Denali National Park
I spent the afternoon importing photographs I keep stored on an external hard drive into my Lightroom 3.3 catalog.  With more rain falling, I found myself reviewing photos from our 2009 trip to Alaska while Chris worked on her quilt. I spent about 30 minutes working on the two photographs shown here.  Jim & I happened upon this corvette in a parking lot in Seward after our Kenai Fjords National Park cruise while the girls were poking about the souvenir shops.  Certainly not the type of vehicle we expected to find in Alaska.  This Denali National Park landscape was taken at the extreme west end of the tour bus trip we all took into the park.  I am particularly pleased with how well it turned out.
Our friends Ken & Faye arrived at Wilderness Lakes yesterday.  Rumor has it we may all be wine tasting  in Temecula tomorrow.
