Life Is Good

The weather since arriving at Catalina Spa has been wonderful except for quite a bit of wind on Tuesday.  Temps have warmed back up to the high 70s and even into the 80sF these past few days.  We been playing pickleball in the mornings and were invited over to check out Outdoor Resorts on Ramon Rd on Thursday afternoon but we decided to take a run West on I-10 to the outlet mall in Cabazon instead.  Chris managed to pick up a nice pair of boots at the Ugg store.  Made in Australia I believe.
We took Dillon Rd all the way out to Hwy 62 and then onto I-10.  As you can see from the photo above, there are huge wind turbines along the way.  This is only a small number of them as seen from Dillon Rd.  We’ve seen quite a few freight trains loaded with turbine blades and motors rolling through the desert here in the last month.  Not sure if the blades were bound for this area or some other site in California.  The top shot shows the miniature golf area and pickleball courts at Catalina Spa.  Not sure if I mentioned it previously but there are six pickleball courts here, so there isn’t much time to sit around waiting to play, unless of course you want to chat.
Just a slightly different composition on the last photo from one I took the other day.  The reflections seemed a little more crisp today than previously, likely because there was little wind.  All photos taken with our new Canon Powershot D10 point and shoot.
