San Francisco RV Resort

We left TT Morgan Hill shortly before 10 am and headed north on US 101 to San Jose where we linked up with Hwy 85N and eventually I-280 into San Francisco.  We had a good look at San Francisco International Airport as we went right by it.  Exit 47 put us on Hwy 1 south into Pacifica and we pulled into this Encore park before noon.  The weather forecast is for sunshine all week which will be a welcome change from what we have had since leaving the Palm Springs area.

Yeah, we know….life is rough!!  We are here for 4 days and have already met another Canadian couple from Windsor, ON as we were checking in.  The resort looks like one huge paved parking lot.  Our site is a front in site overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  We can see the surf pounding on the beach below from our cliff top position.  50 amp, full hook ups, free wifi and cable TV to boot!  We encountered a couple of unforeseen events while setting up on our site.  The power pedestal is near the front of our site and we are just too long for our power cord to reach the pedestal.  The office sells high quality 50 amp extension cords so we purchased one for use while here.  The office gives us the option of returning it when we leave for a full refund or to just simply keep it.  We haven’t needed a 50 amp extension since we started RVing so we aren’t sure whether we will keep it or not.

Lastly, one of the set screws at the base of one of the levers on our tow bar has disappeared for some reason.  I called Blue Ox and they are mailing me a replacement which should arrive before we leave on Friday.
