We awoke to clear and cold weather in Canmore this morning. In fact, it was so cold that the two water bottles we left in the Vue last night were frozen by this morning. It was definitely the coldest night we have experienced in quite some time. We hit the road for Calgary after our complimentary breakfast at the Econo Lodge. The cereal, yogurt, coffee and juice hit the spot nicely.

My new iPad 2 was waiting for me. It had arrived yesterday after a long two week wait. It takes some getting used to, working with a tablet computer instead of a laptop, but I am hopeful the iPad will prove to be quite useful while we are in England. Photo uploading to the iPad from an SDHC memory card seems to be quite easy, although editing them will be somewhat limited with no tablet version of either Photoshop or Lightroom currently available. A new iPad app called Photosmith is very close to being released in the Apple store and looks very promising.
I am using an iPad app called Blogsy to write my first blog post. Blogsy is quite good and easy to use once you get the hang of it but the app will be much better once photos can be uploaded right from the ipad. Presently, photos can only be added to blogs if they have been previously uploaded to photo sharing websites like Flickr or Picasa. The above photo of leaves in the stream was pasted in from my Flickr account and the other is a screenshot of the app from the Photosmith blog.
Anyway, I’m going to post this entry and see how it looks online. Please let me know what you think.
P.S. After postingthis entry using Blogsy, I noted the alignment was off. Not sure if it was me or something in Blogsy that did that once this entry posted. I’ve corrected the alignment using my laptop. I know the photos are smaller than usual. Something else for me to investigate within Blogsy, to see if photos can be resized on the fly. Thanks for letting me know Dick.

Mark, the photos aren't as large, but other than that it looks just like your previous post. Dick
