TT Russian River

Phaeton Place in the Slow Lane over Golden Gate Bridge
We had a short run up US 101 to Cloverdale today so we took our time getting on the road.  I had purchased a 50 amp extension at San Francisco RV Resort when we arrived and decided to return it for a refund before we left.  We haven’t needed an extension cord until our visit here so I figured why just have it laying in a storage bay for nothing.  I was going to fill up with propane before leaving the park but they were selling propane for $4.00/gallon which was basically highway robbery when we’ve seen it elsewhere for less than $3.00/gallon. The replacement set screw for our Blue Ox tow bar arrived and was a quick install with a little Loctite added for good measure.
We pulled out of San Francisco RV Resort shortly before 10 am and were in Cloverdale by 1 pm.  19 Ave and Hwy 1 out of San Francisco were a little congested but slow and steady got it done.
We met another couple from Ontario, Bent & Sharon, who are in the next site over from us and also on their way north on US 101 to Vancouver Island.  We were supposed to only spend one night here and head for Klamath in the morning but they told us US 101 was closed near Garberville because of a mudslide.  We confirmed the closure on the Caltran website and have decided to detour via US -20 over to Williams on I-5 and then on into Redding for tomorrow.  We’ll spend tomorrow night at the Win-River Casino  on  Redding Rancheria Rd in Redding which offers free overnight RV parking.
The great weather continued today.  80F in Cloverdale.  We even have the air conditioner running because there is no hint of a breeze.  Oh the suffering we must endure.

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
