Wishing all our southern friends a very happy Independence Day from your northern neighbours. We enjoyed a wonderful holiday weekend in Canada and we even managed to see some fireworks near our campground in Leduc on July 1st. The fireworks started going off just before 11 pm and it wasn’t even dark yet. I suppose those are the hazards of having fireworks when you live this far north. I can’t imagine what our RVing friends up in Alaska will see tonight. They’d be waiting until after 2 am for the sun to fully set and we just know that won’t be happening.
We have a birthday celebration of our own today here at Phaeton Place. Chris celebrates another milestone today but I’m not allowed to say which one! Suffice it to say that we are now the same age at least until October. Happy Birthday babe! We will celebrate by going out to Beaumont to see our 7 week old miniature schnauzer, Teddy. He isn’t quite ready to come home just yet but we are all ready for him. We have to make do with our twice weekly visits to the breeder for now.
Sarah is off today but Matt has to work tonight so instead of going out for supper, we are planning on a nice lunch out somewhere.
I’m taking my DSLR out to Beaumont today and will try to get some new photos of Teddy outside if I can.
