We can see the light at the end of the tunnel and are praying it isn’t an oncoming train. Work continues on the house in Lake Echo and yesterday we had new laminate flooring put in the dining room and family room. It looks really nice but they messed up on the threshold trim in two places so they’ll be back in next week to fix that. Today, we are scheduled for new Lino in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. Dan and I spent yesterday moving appliances out of the kitchen and laundry room. We also had to pull the toilet and remove all the baseboard heaters and trim. Lots to do and a few surprises under the stove and refrigerator, if you catch my drift.
Sometimes we wonder if the cleaning and fixing will ever end. But we’ve been here over a month and we are seeing progress every day. Once the Lino is in, we’ll put the appliances back and then we can get down to some serious cleaning before listing the house later today.
We are heading back to the Greenwood area for the weekend to celebrate Chris’s parents anniversary. A few nights in a real bed and some good cooking should be just the thing to pickup our spirits. We plan to keep plugging away at the house next week and should be leaving Nova Scotia on Sep 17th if all goes to plan. We popped over to Eastern Passage to have supper with Chris’s sister last night. Thank you so much for the invitation and the great supper too!
