It was a very busy morning with last minute packing as well as a trip to the Currency Exchange in town which offered a better rate than at Toronto’s Lester B Pearson Airport. Matt took my car to Kingston the other day so we hopped in with Sarah for a ride to the airport. Hwy 401 was surprisingly uncongested until we reach the airport turn off. We fly in and out of terminal 3 so Sarah dropped us right at the main entrance.
Check in at Air Transat was relatively painless. The agent first thought she had us with overweight carry on baggage because of my camera equipment but she misquoted how much we were allowed with our Club class tickets. My Think Tank International bag handled all my camera equipment plus my Mac Book Pro in the outside expansion pocket and it’s sized just right for international flights to fit either under the seat or in the overhead compartment. After last spring’s trip from Calgary to Manchester in cattle car class with Thomas Cook who contracts with Air Transat, there better be more room at the front of the plane this time. We been assured wider seats and more leg room, so we’ll have to wait and see.
Using the WordPress iOS app on my iphone to post this so hopefully it works. Let the preboarding wait commence. Two hours and counting……….until lift off.
Get ready for some serious hand and foot Jim and Jane. By the way…..our visit to the duty free store was quite successful. (Nudge, nudge, wink, wink…..)
