Osprey Flying With Fish

Osprey with Fish

We loaded Matt & Sarah into the Vue with all their stuff and headed for Orlando International Airport shortly after 8:00 am this morning.  Their flight to Toronto didn’t leave until mid afternoon so we popped into Florida Mall for a little last minute shopping before going to the airport.  What a difference at Florida Mall today in comparison to just before Christmas.  No crowds at all today!  Chris found a few tops she was looking for but I struck out in my search for new sandals and tennis shoes.  I popped into Champs at Florida Mall and asked a salesman if they had any tennis shoes.  He replied, “You mean tennis….the sport?”  No, I thought to myself, I meant tennis the tiddly winks game!  I just shook my head and walked out of the store.  As comedian Ron White says as part of his act…..You can’t fix stupid…..!

We grabbed a bit of lunch at Florida Mall and had the kids at the airport shortly after noon.  Air Canada had only 4 ticket agents working to handle more than a hundred people waiting in line.  Thankfully, Sarah spied one of those electronic ticket kiosks in a corner.  She used that to get all their boarding passes.  After that it was a simple matter of dropping their bags without having to stand in that long waiting line at the Air Canada counter.  We said our goodbyes while they headed for the security check point.  I managed to find a pair of tennis shoes at Dick’s Sporting Goods on the way back to Sebring.  No sandals yet though.  Teddy was waiting for us across the street at the neighbour’s house.  We took him for a nice walk and then spent the rest of the day relaxing.  Pretty sure Chris has most of the laundry all done so we can vacuum seal the bedding for the hide a bed and stow it until we have visitors again.
