Loving The Weather in Sebring, Florida

Highland Hammock State Park

We’ve been enjoying wonderful sunny weather this past week or more with daytime temps well into the 80sF and over night temps only getting down to about 60F.  Our days are spent outside usually sitting under our awning if it gets too hot and visiting neighbours in the campground for happy hours.  In fact, we got together with a group of about 20 people from Ontario for a happy hour last night and had a wonderful time getting to know everyone.  Many of them are summer time residents of 50 Point Conservation Area near Stoney Creek, Ontario.  We all had a good chat a few drinks and some snacks while sitting outside for a couple of hours as the sun went down.  Silly me, I never took any photos though.

Teddy has started his agility classes with me on Wednesdays and obedience classes on Thursdays with Chris.  There is a lady in the park running the free classes and each class has about 6-8 dogs in it.  Teddy knows some of the other dogs but has also made some new friends along the way.  He is doing well so far and has learned to expect a treat for good behaviour.  Don’t we all.

We are heading up to Orlando on Sunday.  I’m attending a day long Canon Speedlite workshop while Chris & Teddy plan on doing a little shopping and also visiting Keith & Marie at Thousand Trails Orlando.  Should be a fun day.  We drove over to Wauchula the other day to visit with Lee & Judy who are leaving for Naples today.  We had a great visit and excellent dinner at their motorhome followed by an ice cream treat at Pure Magic in Wauchula.  Fresh cream with your choice of toppings which is then flash frozen with liquid nitrogen before beings smushed into a bowl and eagerly consumed.  Blissful!

So life goes on in the Florida sunshine……..:)

We could deal with some of that florida sunshine here in Colorado about now. It’s FREEZING. 8 degrees when I left for work this morning. 8! That’s not a temperature… it’s a sports score. By the way, that picture of the forest and small lake is amazing.

Looks like things will cool off somewhat around here beginning tomorrow. I’m glad we left Colorado’s temps behind when we left Canada.
