Matt & Sarah came down Friday afternoon to spend the weekend and to celebrate Sarah's 25th birthday. Teddy and Lily had a ball playing and really wore themselves to a frazzle on Friday evening while the four of us dined on Dominos Pizza outside. This was Matt & Sarah's first overnight visit to our new Bus, although Sarah did see the bus at McPhail's in Harriston when we did the walk through after purchase.
Saturday morning I stayed home to dog sit while the three of them went to the farmers market in St Jacobs and then popped into Spring Rolls at Conestogo Mall for some lunch. The puppies and I spent the day outside playing and when they crashed for an hour or so, I read a bit more of my John Kellerman paperback. Sarah's birthday was on Saturday. Chris picked up some nice steaks and corn on the cob at the farmers market so we had that for supper outside. Dessert was a Dairy Queen ice cream cake which we shared with some of the neighbours while sitting around the fire. Chris and Sarah always have a tradition about Sarah having to wear fancy bling for her birthday which Chris chooses of course. The blingier the better as far as Chris is concerned. Sarah was a trooper and even wore it all as we walked the dogs around the park after supper on Saturday.
The kids left this morning and headed back to Camp Borden. We are hoping they will hear where they are to be posted later this week. Looks like it could be Cld Lake, AB or Shearwater, NS. We are hoping for the latter because we are planning a Maritimes tour next summer in the motorhome and that will give us a chance to see them again.
