Noon, Monday we got the call to head into Bay 24 for our paint work. Prep work was completed by end of day Monday and painting started today. We've got some rough spots on the storage bay doors so they sanded and repainted all the doors on the driver side today. Tomorrow they'll tackle the passenger side doors and slide out. There are some areas around the new ceiling on the passenger slide that need painting. After that it's two spots up on the roof and the painting is done.
TJ in the cabinet shop is building us another cabinet which will go on the left side of the fireplace at floor level. We've asked for drawers instead of doors which should be perfect for storing DVDs. That will get our DVDs out of the overhead storage compartments and free up room for other things. The cabinet will be ready tomorrow and should be an easy installation. We've got a couple of floor tiles that need replacing as well and these too should be fixed tomorrow.
Freshly Painted Driver Side Storage Compartment Doors
We were advised this afternoon that painting will run into Thursday so we hope to be on the road Friday morning if possible. That will make three weeks we have spent in Red Bay on our way to Florida. We were hoping to be done Wednesday afternoon and be on the road Thursday morning but another day won't hurt too much provided everything is done properly.
