Chris has been up in Nova Scotia for over a week now helping her father deal with the passing of her mother. Teddy & I stayed behind in Sebring and have been dodging rain drops for much of the time Chris has been gone. Checking Weather.com this morning to see if January 2014 has really been as wet and cold as we think it has, I find that it isn’t an illusion at all. Today is the last day of January and it is raining again. As the above graphic shows, 3.22″ of rain so far this month, which is over an inch more than average. Lets just say the catch basins within the park are in no danger of running dry any time soon. But the sun will return tomorrow and our five day forecast looks pretty good.
Tony & I are hoping to get back up to Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland tomorrow if the weather cooperates. We really enjoyed our time there earlier this week and there are others ponds in the Reserve we want to check out with our cameras. Hopefully, we can get some good shots of the bald eagles nesting inside the Reserve.
