It's Still Winter In Many Places
Boy, this is the winter that just won't disappear in many parts of the country. I saw the above shot on Facebook recently and thought it sums up things quite well. Lots of people are fed up with the snow and cold. We've been enjoying sunny, hot and humid days here in central Florida for the last few weeks but we did get a good soaking last night with lots of wind in the area as well. The weather radar app on my iPhone buzzed a tornado warning yesterday afternoon but we are thankful nothing came of it. We all pulled in our awnings as a precaution just in case though. About the only inconvenience was losing our HD satellite channels for a short time around 9 pm. It continued raining and blowing for most the night but the sun was out again this morning.
This bird is another image I saw on Facebook recently. It is actually an optical illusion done by a very creative photographer. Look closely and you should be able to see the illusion eventually. Let me know how long it takes for you to get it and please tell me what you see.
I spent most of yesterday morning packing up. We had quite a few items in our storage shed that had to be sorted and reboxed for being returned to our storage bays. Some items were discarded while others were given to neighbours. Chris sorted through a bunch of clothes we no longer need. These will all go to the local good will.
We are waiting for one load of mail from home to arrive which should be tomorrow hopefully. Mail or no mail, we are out of here Thursday for a return visit to Riverbend Motorcoach Resort until the end of the month.
