Sunny & Hot in Sebring, Florida

We enjoyed a short visit with my daughter Lindsay yesterday. She arrived at Tanglewood late Friday night after a hectic visit to Universal Studios and other places with Colin and the kids. Saturday was a rest day for her before she headed for Fort Myers early this morning for her trip back north. We spent the day around the motorhome. Lindsay helped me groom Teddy in the morning and then the three of us played horse ball and bean bag at the get together across the street with many of our neighbors and friends. I even managed to win the princely sum of $2.00 after going 2 wins and 1 loss in horse ball with my partner Barb Snyder. It was definitely hot under the sun but we used lots of sunscreen and sat in the shade when we weren't playing.

We played one round of games but bowed out of the second round so the three of us could go for dinner at Olive Garden. We got there at 4 pm and beat the rush. I thought for sure we'd be standing in line for a bit because of March break and the 12 hours of Sebring race weekend, but we lucked out. It's been many years since we've gone to an Olive Garden. The food was wonderful and the spaghetti I had was simply too much for me after salad and bread sticks. I brought half of it home with me. Thanks for a great dinner Lindsay.

We were up early to see Lindsay off on her drive down to Fort Myers. She left at 7 am and arrived in plenty of time for her flight back to Buffalo. Chris and I decided to go back to bed for an hour before we set about cleaning up the motorhome. Now that doesn't happen very often.

There was a bit of sad news in Tanglewood yesterday. One of our friends passed away unexpectedly while getting ready to head for the FMCA rally in Perry, GA. The entire Outback is in shock and we extend our sympathies to friends and families of Bill & Linda.
