We left Riverbend on April 17th for the short drive to Lake Wales, FL where we stayed two nights while Bryan’s RV Collision replaced the passenger seat window under warranty for us and also buffed out a few surface scratches on two of our driver side storage bay doors.
On April 19th we joined up with Mitch & Barb for the trek up to Hershey, PA. The weather was good all the way up except for a bit of rain. We started at the Super WalMart in Walterboro, SC our first night before continuing north on I-77 all the way to Roanoke, VA on I-81 where we stayed at Camping World, well actually Gander Mountain which is right next door. We arrived at TT Hershey on April 21st and found two nice sites together up in B section for our time there. We even managed to get in some good pickleball games during our stay. We ran into friends Jim & Marlene and Paul & Sis at Hershey and said our goodbyes to our good friend Keith Richards at a beautiful service attended by so many friends and family of Keith & Marie.
April 27th we hit the road early heading for Ottawa, ON. It was sunny but cold all the way into Ottawa. We crossed the border at Thousand Islands at the north end of I-81. This was our easiest crossing ever. Just a few questions and we were on our way.
So we are in Ottawa until around May 11th looking after medical and dental appointments before heading off to Nova Scotia in the bus for three weeks. From there we’ll begin the long 4600 km trek out to Cold Lake, AB where we are looking forward to spending July & August with Matt, Sarah & our grandson Logan.
Blogsy is the app I used to use to do blog posts from my iPad but it is no longer available in the app store so I’m having to make do with WordPress which is clearly not as user friendly at all.
